Audience Review of An Evening of Opera
Wild Arts returns for a second year with their popular show featuring favourite arias and scenes from opera and songs from the classic musicals. Performed by four fabulous singers and a world-class string quintet, this is a sparkling and mischievous summer treat.
Semi-staged by director Guido Martin-Brandis, follow the characters through 75 minutes of spell-binding music filled with dramatic intrigue, jealousy, comedy, idealism, and true love. Highlights of this year's show include The Flower Duet from Lakmé by Delibes, Overture to William Tell by Rossini, the Jewel Song from Gounod's Faust, Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better from Annie Get your Gun, On the Street Where You Live from My Fair Lady and many more.
“A wonderful evening. The performance was full of fun, the pace was terrific, and the musicians absolutely top quality. Thank you so much for bringing us so much talent and joy.”
