Box Office terms and conditions
Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets may only be refunded under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Chiltern Shakespeare Company by application in writing to the Box Office or the cancellation of the performance.
Where cancellation occurs during a performance there shall be no refund offered if the performance is over halfway through.
The Chiltern Shakespeare Company accepts no liability for consequential loss as a result of a cancelled performance.
Tickets cannot be transferred or exchanged.
The Chiltern Shakespeare Company reserves the right to make discount offers on tickets. These cannot be applied retrospectively.
Each member of the audience must be in possession of a valid ticket. A valid ticket must be produced to gain entry to the theatre or event.
Babes in arms (18 months or younger) are only permitted at certain shows, for which a ticket will be required; but no seat will be allocated.
The Chiltern Shakespeare Company reserves the right to make any alterations to the advertised time, programme or cast as a result of circumstances beyond their control, without the obligation to exchange or refund monies.
Consumer Contracts Regulations
The Chiltern Shakespeare Company abides by the Consumer Contracts Regulations for all transactions that it processes via its website. In line with this, and in line with the Office of Fair Trading guidelines, all tickets sold via this site are outside of the scope of that legislation and therefore are NOT covered by that legislation.
Once purchased, we do NOT automatically offer exchanges or refunds for tickets purchased. We will, however, take any unused tickets and attempt to sell them to a waiting list, should a waiting list exist (e.g. when we have a full house). Where tickets are sold via this method, the Chiltern Shakespeare Company will charge an administration fee of £2 per ticket.
Performances will begin promptly and latecomers will not be admitted until the interval (if applicable), or suitable break in the action, and is solely at the discretion of the front of house manager. We, therefore, ask that patrons take their seats in good time.
Patrons choosing to leave the auditorium during a performance may not be readmitted or may need to wait till a suitable break solely at the discretion of the stage manager.
On occasion tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person for a particular production, the Chiltern Shakespeare Company reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased in excess of this number.
If a performance is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered an alternative performance (subject to availability) up to the seat value on the ticket.
In the interest of our other patrons, parents with children are reminded they may be asked to remove consistently noisy children. Age restrictions for certain productions will apply and children may not be admitted due to the nature and suitability of the show as advised by the Box Office.
At all performances at the Chiltern Shakespeare Company the use of recording equipment of any kind is strictly prohibited. Any unauthorised recordings will be confiscated and deleted. Pagers, mobile phones, digital watches or any other electronic equipment should be disabled when inside the auditorium to avoid disturbing other patrons, the cast and crew.
By purchasing a ticket all ticket holders consent to the filming and sound recording of themselves as members of the audience.
If a patron behaves in a way that may cause danger to others or in a violent or obnoxious manner through, for example, alcohol, the Chiltern Shakespeare Company can request that the patron leaves the venue and will take appropriate action to enforce this right.
The Chiltern Shakespeare Company reserves the right to refuse admission in reasonable circumstances.
Smoking is not permitted in the auditorium. If smoking is required as part of the action of a play, this is allowed within the scope of a theatrical performance and all relevant legislation will be adhered to.
The Chiltern Shakespeare Company cannot accept responsibility for the damage or loss to any personal property whilst visiting the venue. The group will hold any items handed in for a period of 1 week.
Any complaints should be made to the front of house manager promptly either before or during the performance.
English law shall govern all the terms and conditions.
