Concessions are available for senior citizens (over 65s), children and students in full-time education on the first Wednesday and Thursday and the Saturday matinées.
Picnic on the meadow
Picnic meals prepared by Good Earth Catering may be ordered in advance using the booking form supplied or printed from our website, or you can bring your own food and drinks.
Picnic bags and containers should not be brought into the auditorium due to space constraints.
Our open-air theatre and venue provide the ideal opportunity for youngsters to enjoy their first taste of Shakespearian magic.
Half price tickets are available to school parties of 10 or more for all performances of Richard III except the Saturday nights.
School Parties consist of students who are 18 years of age and under who are in full time education, accompanied by a limited number of supervising adults.
Please contact the box office directly to discuss your requirements and to confirm your party's eligibility.
Some seats at the front are reserved for those with hearing or walking difficulties and there are some spaces for wheelchairs. Please book early and specify your needs when booking.
A hearing loop is installed to assist those with special auditory needs.
The seats are numbered and will be sold in the order in which bookings are received. Early bookings will, therefore, get access to a wider choice of seats.
Evening performances start at 8.00pm and finish around 10.30pm. Saturday matinee performances start at 2.00pm and finish around 4.30pm. Please arrive not later than 10 minutes before the performance starts as latecomers may have to wait to be admitted to their seats.
Tickets are not refundable unless they can be re-sold to a waiting list in the event of a full house.
It may be possible to switch tickets to other performance dates.
In either case, CSC will levy an administration fee of £2.00 per ticket.
Collect your pre-ordered meals from the marquee or purchase cakes to supplement your picnic.
Tea, coffee and cakes will be served during the interval.
In the marquee there will be a bar serving beer, wine and soft drinks, which will be open before the performance and during the interval.
In bad weather the play will continue if at all possible, as the audience is under cover.
However, should cancellation be unavoidable, every effort will be made to provide seats on another day. We regret that no refunds can be made.
Ample parking is available at the top of the meadow with an area for disabled theatre-goers. The parking is supervised by The Lions who will be making a voluntary
collection for our designated charity. If requested St. John’s Ambulance can assist with movement to the auditorium.
